At Knecht's, we understand that the foundation of a beautiful landscape lies in the details. That's why we source only the finest materials to ensure lasting beauty and functionality.

Landscape rock and mulch

We carry river rock, red rock, buff limestone, and dresser trap rock. We also have class 5 gravel and sand.

We offer natural and dyed mulches in both bulk and bagged options. We have found that dyed mulches retain their appearance consistently for a couple of years and natural mulches fade to a light natural grey in about one season.

Soil and amendments

We carry COWSMO composted manure in 45 lb bags. Certified organic, it's a wonderful amendment to your garden for improved soil texture and increased nutritional value. We also carry bales of peat moss as a soil amendment to provide ideal acidity.

Our high quality potting soil is great for annual pots, decorative containers and raised gardens, sold by the bag in a variety of sizes. Our landscape soil is a mixture of 40% black dirt, 40% peat, 10% sand, and 10% manure. We call this nutrient rich soil miracle dirt, and it is available for purchase by the yard.

Supplies, garden art and pottery

Basic gardening and landscaping supplies are available in our main greenhouse: fertilizers, acidifiers, weed and pest control products, tree wraps and staking kits, and weed barrier fabric and edging, the kind the pros use.

We also carry metal garden art and sculptures, many by local artists, as well as garden gizmos and glazed ceramic planters and pottery in a variety of sizes and colors. Our selection always changes, so stop in to see what we have.
